Anderson Condition Grading Standard
Every asset we sell is assigned a condition grade based on our 6-tier Anderson Standard. Grades are determined by physical inspection — not photos alone.
Brand new, factory-sealed condition. Original box, tags, and all accessories included. Never opened, never used. Protective wraps and seals are intact.
Example: A Rolex Submariner with full plastic wrapping, factory stickers, and complete box & papers set.
Like new — original box opened but item never worn or used. All original packaging, manuals, and accessories present. No cosmetic defects.
Example: An Omega Speedmaster that was removed from its box for inspection but never sized or worn.
Gently worn — minimal to no visible signs of wear. Functions perfectly. Original box and papers may or may not be included. Any minor marks will be photographed.
Example: A pre-owned watch worn fewer than five times, with only light strap creasing and no case scratches.
Lightly worn with visible cosmetic wear. Functions perfectly. May have minor scratches on case, bracelet, or clasp consistent with normal use. All functions operate correctly.
Example: A daily-worn watch with light desk-diving marks on the clasp and minor hairline scratches on the case side.
Moderate wear with noticeable cosmetic blemishes. Works properly but shows signs of regular use. May include deeper scratches, polished case, or replaced non-OEM parts. All major functions are operational.
Example: A vintage watch with a polished case, minor dings on the bezel, and an aftermarket strap but keeping accurate time.
Not in working condition or has significant damage. Sold as-is for parts or restoration. May be missing components, have broken movement parts, or severe cosmetic damage. No warranty on function.
Example: A watch with a seized movement, cracked crystal, or missing crown — suitable for repair or parts donor.
